Each year, we jam 12 months’ worth of movie magic into just one day for the MTV Movie Awards. This time around, there’s simply too much Golden Popcorn goodness to contain, so we’re opening up things with a full five days of cinematic treats that we call MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week.
Starting on Monday, May 30, and running through Friday, June 3, we’ll be bringing you exclusive looks at some of this summer’s hottest films, including “Fright Night,” “Horrible Bosses” and more. Each night at 11 p.m. ET, we’ll welcome a film’s cast onto MTV to present an exclusive clip. Then you can continue the live conversation with the stars online, as our own Josh Horowitz hosts an extended chat with the talent. As always, you’ll have the chance to ask the stars your own questions; just tweet at @MTVNews using the hashtag #SPW.
It’s all building up to the Movie Awards themselves, which will be hosted by Jason Sudeikis and air live on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Finally on Friday, the folks behind action-comedy “30 Minutes or Less” will bring Sneak Peek Week to a close. Stars Aziz Ansari, Michael Peña and director Ruben Fleischer will be on hand for the festivities, and stars Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride will deliver a special message for fans. The flick follows Eisenberg’s pizza delivery boy, who’s kidnapped and forced to rob a small-town bank.
After this week-long warm-up, the main event kicks off on Sunday, June 5. At this year’s Movie Awards, “Eclipse” (eight nominations) will be facing off against “Inception” (seven noms) and “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ (six noms). Voting in all the categories, from Best Kiss to Best Fight to Best Scared-as-S**t Performance and beyond, is currently under way over at MovieAwards.MTV.com. Voting is set to close on June 4. But voting for Best Movie will stay open through the show itself, meaning you have the chance to affect the night’s biggest winner up until the very last minute.
The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET.

/ May 27, 2011Friday = right before the awards = debatably best spot on the schedule (?) = the spot that Aziz and Danny managed to grab?
saw the vids of the host, Jason Sudeikis meeting the nominees at the source site. (the Emma Stone one) hope there’ll be one with Jesse later.
hope the presentation order and presenter list for categories come out soon. (I’m actually excited about this detail)

/ May 27, 2011Just found out that Jason Sudeikis has a movie coming out this summer too! This awards show is all one big PR stunt. Thanks MTV!
I’d still watch it though (for Jesse) LOL
Jul
/ May 28, 2011The vids for the nominees are a little bit boring. But if there’s a Jesse one up soon I’d be flailing anyway XD
In my opinion the whole point of MTV is to for celebrities to get together, put on a display of friendliness for the public, promote their projects and stir the pot. It’s cheap entertainment, but it doesn’t need to be more than that.
it’s all just fun…
So long as Jesse has a good time, makes small talk all around and enjoys himself for what, three or four hours? I honestly couldn”t care if he wins anything or not… an Oscar nomination trumps every award in this show put together.
(Privately I hope he sits near Emma Stone or Kristen Stewart or Rob Pattinson or Andrew Garfield because I’d love a peek at the interactions. But he’d most likely be sitting with the 30MOL cast anyway…)
Jul
/ May 30, 2011a little (old?) casting news on Predisposed. Haven’t noticed the updates because these people are not celebrities lol… but there have been several new interesting names added to the cast list on IMDB.
Sarah Ramos for Chloe, Eli’s girlfriend
Emma Rayne Lyle for Nicole, Eli’s little sister. (7-year-old actress. She’s really, truly, uber cute.)
Kai Chapman – Pat
Fernanado Lara – Orlando Ramos
The announcement on Emma’s official site has some interesting bits:
“Predisposed will be directed by Oscar nominated scribe/co-writer Ron Nyswaner (Philadelphia) & Philip Dorling both sharing co-writing credits as well.
A brief synopsis, the comedy will center on the dysfunctional relationship between Eisenberg, his little sister played by Emma Rayne Lyle and Leo’s mother. The story is set on a day in which the Eisenberg’s character is interviewing for Julliard.”

anyone interested can also keep up with the site of Kai Chapman casted as Pat. Sounds like he updates his site himself, it’s almost like a blog, so I’m hopeful for some unofficial set reports LOL as filming kicks off in June.

/ May 31, 2011@JuL – yeah it’s a fun show so let’s just enjoy it for what it is–very doubtful Jesse will end with one of those popcorns but it’ll be fun to see him present. Wouldn’t mind seeing him seated beside his former co-stars like Andrew, Kristen or Emma.

/ May 31, 2011Nice info on the new movie. But I have no idea who those people are. I bet Jesse’s excited to begin shooting! Hope they let him have many scenes where he plays the piano!!!
cecille
/ May 31, 2011Oh she is one cute girl like Chloe Moretz. However, she is blonde and her facial features resemble Melissa Leo’s so Jesse will seem out of place as he doesn’t resemble either of the two of them. Maybe he’s adopted in the movie LOL
Laura
/ May 31, 2011You always have long responses Jul lol. Can’t wait for the sneak peek!
