Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl Children at Heart Gala Dinner

Jesse was out to support a very worthy cause tonight at the Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl “Children at Heart” Gala Dinner and Celebrity Fantasy Auction. The event, celebrating its 20th anniversary, aimed to raise more than the $1.8 million it raised last year.

Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl is a group dedicated to saving the lives of children after the nuclear disaster in 1986. Radiation is still a major issue in the region, still affecting the lives of many to this day. To read more about the organisation and their goals, please visit CCOC.net.

    Jesse Eisenberg, Joycelyn Engle, Whoopi Goldberg and Harvey Krueger were honored at the CCOC Children at Heart Celebrity Gala on Nov. 22, 2010. Jon Voight was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award two years ago, and this year the award went to Joycelyn Engle for her work in the film and TV industry. She is the producer of the feature film Shannon’s Rainbow scheduled for a USA theatrical release in 2011 starring award winners Julianne Michelle, Eric Roberts, Daryl Hannah, Claire Forlani, Lou Gossett Jr., Michael Madsen, Charles Durning, Steve Guttenberg and Krista Allen.

    Nancy Spielberg, Mitzi Perdue, Lauren Lawrence, Jessica Katz and Joy Di Palma attended the Children at Heart Celebrity Gala Dinner on November 22, 2010 and they looked absolutely radiant. It was a night to remember and to benefit the Children of Chernobyl.
